Client Spotlight Feature #1 – Irish in France Association
Can you tell us a bit more about your organisation?
The Irish in France Association aim is to bring the Irish community in France together by organising fun events. These include the St Patrick’s Day parade, Sports day, and various social events (eg: pub quizzes).
Founded on February 1st, 2017, the mission of the association is to support and strengthen the Irish community in France, in all its diversity, and to enable conversations on relevant issues in France, in Ireland and with the global Irish diaspora. We currently have more than 400 members.
A not-for-profit association (type 1901), Irish in France is funded through annual membership subscriptions, sponsorship, and other fundraising activities.The association also receives funding from the Emigrant Support Programme administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland and is strongly supported by the Embassy of Ireland in Paris.
Our goal is to offer the Irish community in France an opportunity to come together and strengthen ties. We do this by organising a range of events online and in the real world, and through our online communication on Facebook Instagram & Twitter.
What features of Members Portal do you find most useful?
We have used Members Portal since our formation in 2017. We have found it to be of huge benefit to us. Having the possibility of online membership and events registrations simplifies the day to day running of our association.
The highlight of 2021 for us was the introduction of virtual membership cards which has saved us quite a lot of time, energy, and postal costs. The customer support has been second to none.
